Self Reflection
Junior year has been so great so far, and soon it'll be coming to an end. I saw myself grow and I learned a lot about myself. I became more open and independent, not only do I go to school. I also balance a job on the side. With the classes I had this year, I learned that it was okay to voice how I felt about a certain subject. Looking ahead to next year, I am very very excited! I cannot believe that senior year is so close, I am very proud of how far I've made it. A couple of my goals that'll help my last year at hth be great, include being able to communicate with my teachers more. Because senior year will be a busy year, I want to be able to voice my concerns with my teachers more. At the start of senior year , my goal is also to take some time and really look into colleges. I'm a little lost on where I want to go and I feel like doing some research will help me find my path.
Honors
As a way to challenge myself, I decided I would take English honors. During which we read intriguing articles regarding race, gender, and social class. I really enjoyed honors, not only did I challenge myself but I also loved reading about the struggles of people being oppressed, I felt as if everything I ever wanted to say regarding race was written for me. On the other hand, while taking honors I learned that time management was really important. We were given an article to read at the beginning of the week and by Friday we would have to have it read and fully annotated plus post a reflection online. By Wednesday of the following week we had to reply to two reflections of other people.
